Generally speaking, the number of containers received from the port every day is nearly 8000TEU, and only about 4000 trucks enter the port every day to transport the goods out.

Omar Faruk, Secretary of Chittagong port authority, said that due to the shortage of truck drivers, the containers can not be sent to the warehouse in time after being unloaded from the ship.

An official said that since the morning, the container has been placed in the yard and there is no sign of being transported away.

Some foreign traders say that any interruption of the supply chain is a heavy blow to us. After all, the global epidemic situation has eased, and the demand for import and export is increasing.

At the same time, he also believes that the government should actively communicate with the drivers of the truck association to solve the crisis.
